Winter Park residents will have a new place to go grocery shopping in the near future. Lucy’s Market is coming to the area in the spring of 2018. The Colorado-based market is replacing the old Winn-Dixie at 7542 University Blvd. While that is technically just outside Winter Park city limits, it will certainly serve many in the community.

Lucky’s shoppers are treated to a casual atmosphere while shopping. Their locations feature healthy, organic food.

In addition, Lucky’s boasts an in-house smoked bacon program, house-made sausages, and fresh seafood. One highlight of the stores is a made-to-order ramen bar.

Lucky’s also has a sip and stroll program where people can drink a $2 beer or $4 glass of wine while shopping. The market was originally started in Boulder, Colorado, in 2003 by chefs Trish and Bo Sharon.

They wanted a place where they could buy the freshest produce while also getting their regular ingredients. There is already an Orlando store and Winter Park seemed like the next logical choice for expansion.
